AY’s ’30 Days in Atlanta’ Makes Guiness World Records 2017

AY’s maiden film project, ’30 Days in Atlanta’ has made it into the Guiness World Records 2017, the comedian announced via social media.

The box office success was recognized by the 2017 Guinness World Records as one of the films with the highest domestic gross in the territories of Bollywood, Nollywood and Hollywood.

The film was recognized along with Bollywood’s ‘PK’ from India and Hollywood’s ‘Star Wars’ From The United States of America.

The romantic comedy, which premiered on 31 October 2014, recorded a box office success of over ₦137,200,000 in Nigerian cinemas, becoming Nollywood’s highest grossing film of all time.

This is the first time ever that the Nigerian film industry which is one of the largest in the world, will be achieving such a tremendous success that will be registered by the ‘Guinness World Records’ since 1955 when it was first published.

“I am dedicating this milestone in my career to all the casts and crew of 30 Days In Atlanta,” AY wrote on Instagram.

“Also to everyone who went to the cinemas to see the movie when it came out. Let’s do it again with my new movie ‘A Trip to Jamaica’ premiering on September 25th, and showing across cinemas in Nigeria from September 30th.”
